This 10-minute film tells the story of a group of employees of the Coca-Cola's Rift Valley Bottlers in Eldoret (Kenya), the RIVACHEPS. This group emerged out of a strong feeling of responsibility to inform and instruct their fellow workers and people in the villages about HIV/AIDS and the consequences of risky sexual behavior. Through role-plays, discussions, and puppetry they educate them on the importance of preventive measures such as abstinence before marriage, being faithful to their partner, and the use of condoms. In this documentary you will see the RIVACHEPS at work in a little Kenyan village presenting their puppet play 'A child is a child'. This play deals with the fact that some men have several women in order to have a male child. This practice increases the risk of infection. The play emphasizes the fact that the sex of the child may not really matter to the parents. At the end of the play there is a discussion among the villagers and peer-educators. They conclude with the handing out of free condoms and informative brochures.
